Bioshock-themed games take place in the future where humans and enemies have superpowers.
They involve innovative storytelling and visuals that represent futuristic worlds and cities with superheroes and enemies. Protagonists get equipped with superpowers like psychokinesis or artificial organs which give them superpowers. Enemies are robots, humans, or some kind of technology monster.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
A unique role-playing action game that Square Enix's European subsidiary published. The game came out in 2016 and is available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The world gets torn between normal humans and advanced ones with artificial organs. Aug Incident was the beginning of the mechanical apartheid, with Adam Jensen being our protagonist and having advanced organs.
Real-world activities are also part of the new world, as casinos, poker, and slot machines are often active parts of the Bioshock-themed games. The original Bioshock game and its sequel have one row, three-reel slot machine in-game, found primarily in the Pharaoh's Fortune Casino. Night City is an open-world metropolis that takes place in 2077 and is under the control of corporations, and gang wars are ruling for dominance. Robotics is part of ordinary life in 2077, while Neo-Militarism in social politics is part of the setup.
The player chooses a life path for his protagonist and selects between Nomad, Streetkid, or Corpo. He gets greeted with adventures in the city with local thug Jackie Welles and Net Runner T-Bug. This game also includes artificial parts that can interfere with the human body.
Fallout: New Vegas
Fallout: New Vegas is a post-apocalyptic role-playing game that was published in 2010. It's not a sequel to the Fallout series, but it has some indirect connection with it. In this game, players can choose to play as first role or third role protagonists.
Damage Threshold mechanic is utilized in this game and a player can see it as an indicator in the shape of a red shield near the enemy. If the player would like a more challenging game, there is a hardcore mode.
With this mode, the game will be more realistic, and the protagonist will have a slow healing time and human processes like dehydration. In this game, VATS is a great addition as an active pause combat system that will help the protagonist in the battle. Slow-motion and great details with remarkable precision will help kill enemies.
