The trailer for Sachin Tendulkar’s long awaited biopic is finally here!
Amidst the excitement of the ongoing IPL, the trailer of Sachin Tendulkar’s biographical movie, Sachin: A Billion Dreams, has finally been released.
The trailer features snippets of Tendulkar, his life and career. It tracks his childhood and love for cricket, including watching India win the 1983 World Cup when he was 10 years old, and how he grew up to get more and more involved in the sport.
The rest of the trailer is a series of clips and scenes from interviews and existing footage documenting Sachin Tendulkar’s life. The trailer features a voice over from Tendulkar himself, with other voice-overs and interviews by his wife Anjali Tendulkar and fellow Indian team cricketer MS Dhoni.
The two minute clip shows the ups and downs of his career and personal life. It shows his initial ascent to stardom and follows it up by displaying some of the lower points of his career. The entire trailer has an underlying theme of inspiration and motivation, and ends with the entire audience at the stadium chanting his name.
The film is directed by Emmy award winner James Erskine and produced by Ravi Bhagchandka. The music of the film is said to be composed by AR Rahman, a taste of which we get in the trailer itself.
