Is there anything as soft, luxurious or chic as cashmere? Images of cozy sweaters, warm wraps and blankets come to mind – but what about high fashion couture, made with bathroom tissue?
Every year for the last 12 years, as a fund and awareness raiser for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Cashmere Bathroom Tissue has showcased the White Cashmere Collection featuring couture clothing and accessories crafted from bathroom tissue.
The White Cashmere Collection is the world’s first and only BT (bathroom tissue) couture collection. With decadent designs by Canada’s top fashion designers it is more than just fashion, its about giving back and helping a cause important to so many across the country.
According to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, it is estimated that 25,000 women and 220 men in Canada would be diagnosed with breast cancer, and that 5,000 women and 60 men would die from the disease in 2015.
The White Cashmere collection raises awareness to the cause while also raising funds through the sale of their Pink Cashmere products where 25 cents from the sale of every package goes to the CBCF.
The collection debuted in 2004 as a showcase for the brilliance of Canada’s fashion designers and their creations in sumptuous cashmere fabric.
Over the past decade, the collection has featured more than 150 of Canada’s top and emerging fashion designers and has been applauded as a stunning celebration of Canadian fashion.
